Where is the "romance after baby"

Has the romance after baby gone out the window just like people said it would?

It doesn't have to! I know it's hard to make time but.....you have to and make it fun. First and foremost, you have to be comfortable and ready.

You also have to be healed. The doctor usually recommends to wait for his/her approval usually after your 6 week check up. It may be slightly longer for cesarean sections.

Another factor is, where is the baby sleeping? Some people feel comfortable with having an extremely quiet quickie while the baby is asleep in the bassinet across the room. Others like myself feel more comfortable when the baby is asleep in the crib or napping in the bassinet in another room.

Whatever your perspective is, you need to be healed and feel ready as I mentioned earlier.

Are you ready for the romance after baby? Do you want to or not yet? Some women are afraid. If this is your first child, you probably don't know how much or little it will hurt the first time of penetration. Nobody ever told me what to expect but after I experienced it and talked to other women, they would say "yeah, I had that too" or "yeah, that happened to me". Why do people keep it a secret? Why don't they warn you or tell you so that you know and are informed? That is why I am here now! I want to tell you now so that you know what to expect.

The first time, take it slow. Hopefully you have a patient and gentle husband like I do. Sometimes he might not be ready for the romance after baby. He could be concerned with hurting you so you need to be able to communicate. You might feel like you need some lubrication. Don't fight it. It will make the process much easier, believe me. You will probably feel some "pinching" the first time especially if you had an episiodemy. Don't worry. This is natural. You aren't tearing anything open. This feeling will lessen the more you engage in the activity. ;-) And by the 2nd or 3rd encounter, everything will feel fine and back to normal. If it doesn't, give your doctor a call.

Whether you are an old fashioned girl when it comes to relations or a "wild child" who tries every new technique or toy out there, you should keep it exciting and fresh for you and your husband. You should really check out this sight. They have fun toys for the beginner or the expert. They also have great "couples classes" if you are interested in learning new moves.(fully clothed, of course) It's just a great, fun night out that can bring you and your man alot closer(literally) Click here to find out if there is an upcoming class near you!
